Things not everyone knows about me!

I am sitting here wondering what could interest people about me and I figured that, without too much fluff, I'd write up the things that make me, Ana. Feel free to ask if something sounds "odd" - I promise, none of this is fiction!

I have four older sisters; no brothers and a whole bunch of nieces and nephews.

My oldest nephew and I are only 5 years apart.

I wasn't born at the hospital; my Mom had me at home - by choice.

My favorite food is anything Mexican or Italian.

I am violently allergic to any pork products.

My favorite place is near the water, especially the beach, but a lake can also do just for relaxation!

My dream car is a 1968 Shelby Mustang GT 500 and when I grow up, I want to own one: "Candy Apple Red w/ White Race Stripes!"

I am the first one to have earned a college degree, and my oldest earned her bachelor's degree the day after mine was conferred -- we're very proud of each other! She's pre-Med!

I don't follow any sport, but I LOVE MY YANKEES!!!

My pest peeves include people who can't drive; Lady Gaga and MTV's Jersey Shore - I think that's all.  Can people be considered pet peeves?

I don't (and WONT) follow celebrities, there are more important things to do than to try "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" or worrying about who wore what for how much... there are kids going hungry and people living in poverty.

A high paying job that I hate or a low paying job that I LOVE? Uh... how about middle of the road?

MOST of my family still lives in Puerto Rico - and I have not 'visited' in nearly 10 years.

I don't like "I's" -- somewhat, it sounds egotisitical.

My favorite 'dramatic' celebrity is Paul Teutul (Senior), but I can't stand Paulie... go figure. I've met Senior and he is as rough as he looks!

My heart belongs to Sean Connery... Yes, I am HAPPILY Married, but my husband knows he stands no chance against Sean Connery!

I dream of owning my own motorcycle - not sure what I'd like to get for my first bike thought.

I fell in love with Montreal and Quebec City, but I also left my heart in Dominica earlier this year.

My life has not followed the 'traditional social clock' -- I graduated high school, finished college, got married, bought a house, had two kids and now live 'mostly happily ever after' but not in that order! :o)

Maybe this doesn't make sense to many, but althought I am not a religious person, I believe in being simply good and decent. I laughed so hard when I saw Bill Maher's "Religilous" - no offense, he's nuts!

Most of the time, I don't like to speak about three topics with most people: religion, politics or sex. It makes things weird...

My favorite movie of all times is Merlin (by Hallmark).

My favorite book is by Paulo Coelho and it's called "The Alchemist". A REALLY great read...

I love all kinds of music but I have different genres depending on WHAT activity I am doing: Gym - Electronica/Techno; Designing/Writing - Classical; Relaxation - Zen or Native; Trip to NYC? - Jazz!; Cleaning - Merengue/Salsa... and so on!

I can be found on Facebook - I am not "Twitting" yet!

Through Facebook, I have found friends I have not seen in 20+ years and it's as though if we had never gone our separate ways. Love it, love it, love it!

I am married to a super-guy...

My girls are entering their Senior year in High School and I am looking forward to the many activities that will be happening in the next few months!

I think that's it for now...
